More Malifaux and some Kingdom Death!

Hellos!

Been keeping up with my hourish a night seclude and it still seems to be paying off, done abit more putting things together rather than painting over the last few weeks but i still have finished a couple more Guild members.

First up we have Captain Dashel.Think i need to invest in a tripod or find away to make the camera alittle more stable for less blurry pictures(main reason why there is no back pics). Pretty happy with how the skin tones came out on this one.

Next up is the second Guild Lawyer. Been trying to work on painting black abit and  making things look abit smoother too.

Also been working on the main man himself, Lucius. I wanna try some NMM on his face mask, should be fun :D

Now onto some more fun stuffs, last post i mentioned my Kingdom Death kickstarter stuff was on the way. Other morning the courier arrive with a rather large and heavy package. Opening it up reviles it has arrived! Was alot more things in the box than i thought and very nice quality too, Here are some pics of the contents.

First up is the box, Malifaux mini to show you the size of it, kinda heavy too the shipping box said it was around 9kg.

One of my favorite things in the box is the board itself, huge and full of detail. I do feel like with alot of use some of the foldy parts could tear/wear out over time. Also a glimpse at some of the counters/terrain markers

Rule book, cards, dice and character sheets etc. Rule book is a pretty decent size, alot of stunning and creepy artwork. Havent given it a good read through yet, but from skimming it seems to have an intro game and alot of rules for campaigns.

Lastly are the miniatures and boy are there alot of  parts and bits! Very detailed and very good quality for plastics/boxed game.

I put together an imgur album if you want to see some close ups. Link is  HERE.

So many new things to distract me from Malifaux! Maybe i can alternate between the two lots of them lol.

Anywho, thanks for looking and hope you enjoyed C&C are always welcome.

So soon?

Greetings!

Whats this? Another update so soon? shocking i know! But i have been busy painting(very slowly) and having fun with the hobby once again, huzzah!

Been messing around with camera settings, pictures seem to look have come out alot better, still alil blurry in some parts, but lemme know.
First up is a model i got years ago, forgot where it came from but i grabbed it cause it look just like a Brotherhood of Steel member from the Fallout games. Wanted to mess around with some metallics and weathering/rust.

Next up is one of the many Wyrd/Malifaux miniatures i own. Malifaux is a game i have never played but has one of my favorite miniature ranges to expect to see more in the future! This is one of the Guild lawyers from the bound by law box(which i plan i fully painting up), the purple came out abit brighter than i planned but over all happy with the model.

In other news, the Kingdom Death: Monster kickstarter i back afew years ago is finally getting very close to shipping, so i'm sure pumped to finally get my hands on the box set and extras I chose . If you have never seen the Kingdom Death range i think you should go check them out, some very strange but fantastic models in the range, i own acouple of the stranger ones(wet nurse and adult sunstalker) and i'm pretty sure i would spend way too much on them if they weren't always out of stock.

Anywho, thanks for the welcoming back in the comments on the last post and hope you all enjoy this one!

Puppets!

Ello ello all.

So Wyrd has released a new game called Puppet wars. It's basically a spin off of Malifaux where from what i can tell a witch has made puppets/voodoo dolls of each character and at night they come alive and try to tear each other apart.
Been having games of if over the last few weeks and i must say i rather enjoy it and hopefully it will lead into me getting to know the rules for Malifaux and to play some games, cause right now just reading the rules, it has me slightly confused lol.

What does this have to do with my blog? well i have purchased some of the stuff for it and have been painting up some of the models and well, i have some pictures for you all.
Now these things are rather small, about just over half the size of a guardsman, so keep that in mind while looking at the pics. Some of the models are alittle bit odd but i guess thats just Wyrd's style. Anywho, one to some pics cause there are afew, i have been rather busy painting these.

I shall start with some Pawns.

Punk Zombie

Rotten Belle

Convict Gunslinger

Razorspine Rattler

Death Marshal

Ronin

Silurid

One of the Sidekicks

Judge

First two Masters, these are the ones you get in the main box.

Seamus

Lady Justice

Well thats all for now, i am currently painting up the other two masters and afew other random puppets. I'm rather enjoying painting these for some reason, might be cause they are all so different and something new.

Not too sure when the next update will be due to all the games coming out soon, like Arkham City is out tomorrow, then next month we have Battlefield 3, MW3, Skyrim and the new Zelda game. They will be taking alot of my time lol.

Anywho, C&C always welcome like normal.

Just a Dreamer

Ahoy! Hello once again!

So, still no update on the dread fellow but thats quite alright. Mostly being extremely bored of 40K/GW i have returned to Malifaux in search of nifty models and creepiness and i think i may have refound that!

Last time i had done some Malifaux things i painted up Teddy and The Dreamer. This time i have got a new model for The Dreamer and decided to rebase Teddy to match her.

First up shall be Teddy, i think i have gotten better pictures of it this time too, yay!

So the new bases i went with a dirty cobble stone streets seeing as its a victorian steam punk style game.

Now onto The Dreamer, used a model from Hasslefree miniatures(can't remember the name of the model but im sure you can find it if you go look.). Little girls always seem more creepy than boys to me, so thats one of the main reasons i used this model, plus i think having a girl means i can make/use other teddy like models.

Quite happy with how she came out, Maelstrom suggested a snazzy twisted/warped style base but i couldn't get it to work right sadly :(
Thats all the pictures for now, not much of an update but at least it's something eh?

Right so what else do i have planned? Got some day-dreams being based atm, also have some plans for a Lord Chompy Bits which i will hopefully get around to doing. Have also picked up the game by Wyrd called Puppet Wars, so i might have to paint up some of those little buggers.

EDIT: Seeing has blogspot has this odd new picture veiwer thing, when you get into that click the picture again to see full size images! and if anyone knows how to get rid of it lemme know :)

Anyway thats all for now, C&C always welcome!

If you go down to the woods today....

Ahoy hoy everyone.

In my last post i said i was going to be doing some Malifaux stuff at some point, well that point has already come. So i got my Malifaux order the other day and have been painting and basing them, decided to get The Dreamer starter and Teddy(just love that model :-P ). Quite like the models, hardly any mold lines or anything like that, so i think i shall be picking up more in the future.

Don't really have too much to say today so lets get on to the pics eh.

First up is The Dreamer, hes one of the masters in the Neverborn and has a seems to have creepy/strangely twisted models to go with him, which kinda fits my style of painting well i think.

Next we have one of my fav models of the Wyrd/Malifaux range, Teddy! Big evil cuddly teddy bear ;)

So yah, quite happy how they came out. Tho the dreamers skin could of been abit better but it will do for now.

C&C always welcome as normal.

Holy cats!

Hello everyone!

Been awhile since i have touched this blog eh? It's also been awhile since i have painted anything, but hopefully things shall change.

I could go on and on with excuses but the main reasons are i haven't really been that interested it painting/modeling anything and distracted by video games lol :-P

Right, so why am i digging this out of a grave? well cause i have been painting again. Just starting with some hasslefree zombie hunter models to get back into the painting groove.

Onto some pics eh? couldn't get the best pics of the first guy, somehow the pics turned out quite shiney :-/

First up is Zombie hunter Kev, im pretty sure thats the name of the model.

Next one is just the riot cop, with zombie splatter on the shield ;-)

So yeah, thats all for now sorry. May not be the best painted things i have done, but atleast it's something eh?

I have been forcing myself to paint everynight for atleast an hour, so there shall be more stuff soon including more Zombie hunters, some zombies and i have orderd some Malifaux Neatherborn models which will be fun to paint :-)

C&C are always welcome as normal.
