Oldies: Part 1

In one of my last posts i mentioned showing some of my older models and things i haven't posted on this blog yet, so heres the first one of those! So bare with me if some of the pictures or painting aint the best :)

Infinity

I think my Infinity stuff was some of the first things i posted on the interwebs over on The Ammobunker, back in 07? 08? sometime around then. Kinda funny seeing how different my painting style was then too.

Got into Infinity cause i really liked the models, the game confused me abit back then and still haven't played many games of it but they were rather fun to paint.

I went with Ariadna and painted them as if they were in snow, so lots of white and a smidge of grey and black.Tried quite afew very small freehand squad markings from the book too. Anyway onto some pics eh?
Can't really remember what everything is called so sorry if i don't label everything.

And lastly the Snipers. These were interesting to paint, wanted to give them camo of some sort but not giving them your typical winter camo, so after abit of looking around i found "stick and limb" camo. Thought it was rather interesting and gave it a try, thought it came out alright on the female sniper, but on the male one it looks a tad odd.

So thats the first "oldies" part, let me know if you wanna see more of my older models, which will have stuff like Warriors of Chaos, Blood Pact, some random Imperial Guard things, Warhammer Quest and other random things i have laying around :)

Update on the dread, haven't done too much with it this week you can blame Maelstrom for that, hes challenged/ been nagging me to make some Inq28 related models so i have been making some of them, once i get the dread done i shall show you what i have been making :)

Contemptor update

Ahoy hoy

Just a quick little update post on the Dread. Finding this model very fun to paint, was rather fun to put together too!

I also forgot how much of a pain taking good pictures of metallics is, so heres acouple of average WIP pics.

So yah, thats where im upto. Got most of the armor done, need to go over the metal/silver areas again aswell as finish up the black little details.

Also this smelly git fixed my blog! So no more of this double posting everything shite ^_^

Lemme know what you think so far. C&C always welcome like normal.

Two legged doom machine.

Well thats how i look at this model.

A friend of mine(go check out his blog, hes a great painter!) was doing a Forge World order so I decided to treat myself to the new Contemptor dread, lovely model it is! Don't normally do marine related things cause i find them quite boring now days, but this thing caught my eye as something i wanted to corrupt and have fun painting.

After getting the model i kept going back and forth about if i wanted to make it chaos or not. Only till after i had built the dread i decided i will turn it to chaos, so i scraped off all the goodie too shoes bits(weren't  that many so it wasn't too hard). The idea i have for painting this fellow up is one of the random marines i paint up every now and then which i named "The Chaos Wolves" not that original i know :-P heres a pic of the marine cause i don't think i have posted on here.

As you can see, rather simple. My idea for them is that they are not very chaosy but still chaosy enough to make them look chaos(that make any sense to you guys? lol) So in other words not big spikey bits, mutations or the normal stuff you would see on chaos marines.

Anyway i have probably built this up too much so onto some pictures!

And a random shot of the base just cause :-P

So yah, not much done to it. Some chaos looking seals and abit of chipping/damage to the armour. Lemme know what you think!

A smidge of an update on things, i wanna try get this blog more active once again. So after having a look at some other blogs i might try something out that they have been doing doing. Where they have been posting older work of theirs and explain abit about it, sounds interesting? plus i get to show you stuff i haven't shown before like my Infinity models, the read of my unfinished Warriors of Chaos army, more Blood Pact just to name afew. These are the blogs if you were wondering

So lemme know what you think of the idea and what you also think of the dread!

C&C always welcome.

Brains....

Hello once again people!

Been awhile again since I've posted, distracted by games again, blah blah normal reasons lol.

Well what do i have for you today? Some new Mordheim related models, huzzah!
First up we got some good ol Zombies for an Undead warband, everyone likes some Zombies eh?

Zombie 1: these zombies haven't had too much conversion work done to them as you can see, i gave this one the classic dragging foot pose, with a slit throat and a sneaky arrow in the back. Paint wise, has mostly been covered up sadly with pigments to make it look like its just come out of a grave.

Zombie 2: Less conversion work with this one, just cut the arm off and added some of his face missing.

Now we have acouple of WIP pictures.

Zombie 3 with a broken off spear impaled in it and half his face pealed off. Was as happy with this one but might look better when painted :)

And lastly we have a very early WIP pic of the Vampire.

Well thats all for now, will try update quicker next time, but if not i shall see you when i post next!

C&C always welcome like normal.

Holy cats!

Hello everyone!

Been awhile since i have touched this blog eh? It's also been awhile since i have painted anything, but hopefully things shall change.

I could go on and on with excuses but the main reasons are i haven't really been that interested it painting/modeling anything and distracted by video games lol :-P

Right, so why am i digging this out of a grave? well cause i have been painting again. Just starting with some hasslefree zombie hunter models to get back into the painting groove.

Onto some pics eh? couldn't get the best pics of the first guy, somehow the pics turned out quite shiney :-/

First up is Zombie hunter Kev, im pretty sure thats the name of the model.

Next one is just the riot cop, with zombie splatter on the shield ;-)

So yeah, thats all for now sorry. May not be the best painted things i have done, but atleast it's something eh?

I have been forcing myself to paint everynight for atleast an hour, so there shall be more stuff soon including more Zombie hunters, some zombies and i have orderd some Malifaux Neatherborn models which will be fun to paint :-)

C&C are always welcome as normal.

Something old school

Got something a tad different for everyone today.

Me and afew people from my gaming group have been playing a very old game, which i have had sitting on a shelf for awhile now. And i'm glad i got some people to play it cause we are having a blast with it so far. What might this old game be? well its good ol Heroquest!

Now i have been thinking about painting up all the models from the set and expansions for many years, but have never gotten around to doing it or have been too lazy to paint all those models. Since we have gotten back into the game I've been thinking to myself if i could paint them in a quick way which would still look half decent, and i think i have come up with a way.

I have done some tests on the main 7 monsters and i think they have come out quite good for the time i spent on them. Only spent about an hour on each (maybe less for the skeleton and mummy). Anywho, enough words and on to some pictures eh? even tho theres not much to show.

First up we have the green skins.

Fimir, Orc and Goblin

Then theres the undead monsters

Skeleton, Zombie and Mummy

And lastly
Chaos Warrior

So once again that was something abit different, so lemme know what you think and C&C always welcome as normal :)

P.s. Please ignore the mold lines, these are just test models :-P

I'm still alive!

Why hello blog following people.

Haven't done an update in forever, i blame laziness and a snazzy/addictive game called Minecraft. And i think soon my time will be taken over by more games, such as more Minecraft,  Fallout: New Vegas and Black ops so hopefully i can pull myself away from them to update more often.

Anywho, once again i don't really have much to say other than show you some things i have painted, mainly once again for Mordheim related things. Acouple of hired swords for my Possessed warband and a random ghoul model(which may lead to a new undead warband at some point in the future).

Onwards to the pictures!

First up is the Witch, it's the old Mordheim model and her spells seem to bug opponents i play, so i enjoy it :P

Secondly we have a Hired Ogre for the Possessed warband, decided to use the Mordheim Pitfighter ogre model, seemed to fit with a chaosy theme imo.

Lastly we have a Ghoul from Heresy miniatures, great sculpts and this model is semi disturbing so i just had to paint it :-P  really happy how it came out.

So like normal, C&C always welcome aaand see you next update!

The sounds of (s)laughter

Ahoy, only got a quick update for everyone this time.

Been doing afew more things for my Posessed warband again. Based the old mordheim Witch model and Pit Fighter ogre for the ogre hired sword, chose that model cause it looked more chaosy i reckon.

Also finished up making the beastman hero, other beastman henchmen and another jester for the henchmen.
Anywho, said this was a quick update so onto the pictures!

Second beastman henchmen

Beastman hero who i am naming Alan

And lastly a model which i rather like, another jester for my brethren group.

Anyway, C&C always welcome as normal :-)

City of the Damned part 2 + more!

Hello everyone who reads this blog once again.

I have quite afew pictures for everyone today, mainly of the painted version of the building in the last post. I also have some WIP pics of a "beastman" and a warlock for mordheim :-)

You may have also noticed a bit of a change of look to the blog, after afew trial and errors i think i got a look that i like, apart from the fact that it has some how duplicated all my blog posts under the main posts :-/, so if anyone has any idea how that happened let me know cause i cant get rid of them!

Anyway i don't really have much to say so i will carry on with pictures.

First up will be the mansion all painted up. I'm rather happy how it came out, especially for my very first proper try at terrain.

So yeah, theres afew pictures there but as i said i'm rather happy with it, i found it abit hard to take some pictures of terrain, never really done it before and i think i should invest in a tripod.

On to some miniatures!

First up is the warlock, i "stole" the whole pose and idea from one of my favorite mordheim modelers apart from changing the head. You can find his blog Here.

And lastly is my first of three "beastmen". I wanted these guys to be more human-looking, for something different from the normal that you see around. This one is just a basic henchman, but i am currently working on one that has become a hero.

Anyway thats all for now, lemme know what you think and i hope you all like them :-)

C&C always welcome like normal.

Building the city of the damned. Part 1

Hellooooooo peoples

As most of you probably know by now i get distracted/lazy/bored easily, so i have only really done half of the 3 beast men for my possessed, mainly cause i need to get some new drill bits to pin some things and i havent gotten around to that yet :-P

So have i been doing then ask? well as the title says, i have been building stuff (ok only one thing atm but i have tones of ideas!). This building was originally going to be an inn/pub but then i think its turned more into a mansion type of thing, im not quite sure but i like it!
These buildings i will be doing are going to be a mixture of tall and large, cause if you have seen the artwork/old old old battle reports you would notice that they are rather tall, plus i want them to be large so you can get you hands in them and all that jazz. The bottom floor originally was going to be playable but then thought how would you get your hands in there to move the models around? so i just scraped that idea and stuck some rubble there lol. Note the i still have to finish off the base but i will do that another time.

Anyway onto the pictures eh?

I also made a bridge type of thing to put between terrain when i have made more

Anyway i don't really have much else to say at the mo so i will see you next time! and C&C always welcome as normal :-)
